A Core of Compassion

Jesus was painting a picture of our Heavenly Father in the climatic parable of the prodigal. Not just for us to know God’s heart of compassion toward us, but for us to now want that heart of compassion to be formed within us. Compassion does have a cost, but it also has a far greater return, reach and impact than you can expect. We see it in the life of Christ and ultimately in his sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection.
