Last year we were able to do a Backpack Drive to bless some 200 kids in the TUSD district as they started back to school.
This year, we’re at it again! This time focused on providing every child and friend of ours at J.B. Wright Elementary School with one. We’re working in partnership with Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Principal of JBW, to provide 400 backpacks with school supplies – so that each child receives a jumpstart of encouragement for their educational pursuits this school year.
Here’s the details:
Elements is looking to GIVE 300 backpacks
we’ve purchased the backpacks – you can provide $5 to cover the cost of one
PICK UP backpacks beginning June 29th at Elements City Church
FILL the backpacks with the appropriate supplies (see provided list)
RETURN BY SUNDAY JULY 27th
We will need a few of us to help finish sorting and then delivering on July 30th for a “Meet the Teacher” at JBW that afternoon. Talk to Jack or Bryan if you’re interested in being a part of the delivery crew.
We have such a GREAT church with a desire to bring the HOPE of Jesus to the HEART of our city!
We’re grateful for your investment to be a blessing. #generositywins

The act of baptism is something we see in the life of Jesus and one we’re called to follow as we follow our Savior. It’s also a moment for The Church to celebrate the commitment of another follower of Christ.
Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Baptism is all about showing the world that you are in a growing relationship with Jesus, that you’ve put your trust in Him to be your savior. Baptism is what transformation looks like in public. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it’s modeled by Jesus himself and is a biblical command. It’s an obedient response and expression of your faith and commitment to Christ.
*see the following Scriptures for baptism context:
Colossians 2:12; Acts 2:41; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:2-4; Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20

We realign our backs through chiropractic care. We realign our cars when tires get askew, so they are more efficient. A Coach will challenge and realign us back to the basics and execution of the game so we perform our best.
Realignment is a way of the spiritual life.
There will always be this tension between the way we want to live life and the way God desires we experience and engage in living.
Our attitudes, actions and understandings will need to be realigned from time to time, as we seek to live more and more the way God desires and dreams for us. His mindset and calling for us taking deeper root and flourishing more within. The Scriptures will call us back into alignment, hip-checking out attitudes and challenging our hearts at times…ALL so we live in the flow of how God desires us to live. As followers of God, we’ll need to RE:align from time to time…
Join us for this series as we examine some attributes and attitudes of God that need to RE:align
Though we may have individualistic tendency’s and cravings – we all need relationships to be well off in life. When it comes to those relationships of deeper love than friendships, how do we traverse them in a healthy way?
The world shouts messages about love, dating, and how relationships work. You hear them all the time. God might have some insight to bring, since He created relationships in the first place. Scriptures speak some influential truths about navigating this ‘crazy little thing called love’ – we’ll look at how to seek love, grow love and mature a united love.
We’d LOVE to have you join us for this series.
*here’s a little something from our graphic gurus, getting you ready… Q) can you name the movie?
LOVEMOB is a gathering of Elements folks doing good!
This Saturday our expression will be to walk the neighborhoods west of Catalina HS to hand out door-hangers and pray over our friends in those homes. The door hangers have info about Elements City Church and upcoming things.
We’re not looking to knock on doors, just prayerfully canvass our new found home neighborhood and let them know we are here. If conversations ensue with people who are out and about, great!
Dress to walk and bring your smile:) If you have an Elements t-shirt, you might want to wear it.
Meet at Catalina HS this Saturday March 22nd @ 830am – we’ll canvass for a couple hours and be done by 11am. Stay hydrated.
We are beginning a new series this February that will take us into our celebration of Easter later this Spring!
No Other Name
No Other Name brings forth such promise and hope. No Other Name has impacted history more. No Other Name stirs conversations and debate as intensely. No Other Name invites us to step from our shame and into his grace. No Other Name ruffles the feathers of some and yet moves the hearts of others. No Other Name creates life change like His…
A look into his life, his teaching, his cross and his resurrection can bring clarity to life – your life. Join us as we make our way through the gospel of Mark this spring on our way to Easter 2014. The gospel of Mark, believed by scholars, to be the eyewitness recorded account of the Apostle Peter gives us insight into the person of Jesus. We’ll examine passages that explore the narrative of Jesus’s life and expand on the themes of his identity and purpose. We pray that you’ll find the figure of Jesus worthy of your attention and that you’ll consider the significance of his life in your own.
Elements City Church is pleased to host a 9-week course that can impact your life for years to come.
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!
